Cookie Policy
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. We also use browser localStorage — a similar client-side storage mechanism that persists across sessions until you clear it.
2. Cookies We Use
| Cookie / Key | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
PHPSESSID |
Essential — Session | Maintains your authenticated session. Without this, you cannot log in. | Session (expires when browser closes, or on logout) |
emailAnalyzerTheme |
Preference | Remembers your dark/light mode preference in the analyzer. | Persistent (localStorage — until you clear browser storage) |
sphereMailLandingTheme |
Preference | Remembers your dark/light mode preference on the landing page. | Persistent (localStorage) |
spheremail_scan_history |
Functional | Stores your personal scan history locally. Never transmitted to servers. | Persistent (localStorage — until you clear history or browser storage) |
3. Third-Party Cookies
| Provider | Purpose | Opt-Out |
|---|---|---|
| Google OAuth | When you sign in with Google, Google may set authentication cookies on their domains. We do not control these. | Google cookie controls |
| Razorpay | When you initiate a payment, Razorpay's checkout loads in your browser and may set payment-related cookies. We do not control these. | Razorpay Privacy |
| Stripe | Same as above for international payments. | Stripe cookie settings |
4. What We Do NOT Use
5. Managing Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling the PHPSESSID session cookie will prevent you from logging in. localStorage can be cleared from your browser's developer tools or privacy settings.
For EU users: because we use only essential and preference cookies (no marketing or analytics), we do not require a consent banner under ePrivacy rules. If you have concerns, contact privacy@securespherelabs.com.
