Billing & Refund Policy
1. Subscription Plans

2. Billing Cycle
- Subscriptions are billed monthly on the anniversary of your initial subscription date.
- Payment is collected in advance at the start of each billing period.
- Unused scans do not roll over to the next billing period.
3. Cancellation
- You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings or by contacting support@securespherelabs.com.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro access until then.
- After cancellation, your account reverts to the Community plan (2 scans/day).
- No data is deleted on cancellation — your account remains accessible on the free tier.
4. Refund Policy
- General rule: Subscription fees are non-refundable once the billing period has commenced.
- Exception — technical failure: If SphereMail was unavailable for more than 24 cumulative hours in a billing period due to our fault, you may request a prorated credit for the downtime. Contact support@securespherelabs.com within 7 days of the incident.
- Exception — first-time subscribers: If you are a new subscriber and request a refund within 48 hours of your first payment without having used more than 10 Pro scans, we will issue a full refund at our discretion.
- Accounts terminated for AUP violation: No refund is issued for accounts terminated due to Acceptable Use Policy violations.
5. Failed Payments
- If a payment fails, we will retry up to 3 times over 7 days.
- You will be notified by email of payment failure.
- If payment cannot be collected after retries, your account will be downgraded to the Community plan.
- Your account data is not deleted due to payment failure — resubscribing will restore Pro access immediately.
6. Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Existing subscribers will receive at least 30 days' advance notice of any price increase before it applies to their subscription.
